Submitting and optimizing your website to major search engines will increase will increase the chances of getting vistors to your website very fast.Every search engine has an algorithm to search an index a new website in it if it is active for a period of time.For a search engine to index a new site in it the develop backlinks to your site so that google crawler visits your site through this backlinks.It is not very much important to submit your site to search engines but it helps your site to appear in quik time.

1)Submit website to google
First open the site http://www.google.com/addurl/
Enter the website url in the box right after the text url:
Enter the captcha
Click “submit Request”
That’s it now the google will review your site and index in it though every site is not accepted most of the sites will be indexed in google search engine.
In the same way you can submit your site to few more search engines like yahoo,bing and searchit with the help of following links.
